This is a really long post so i hope that you will enjoy looking at these pictures as much as i did. I went to Texas to see my little brother graduate from the Air Force. What an experience it was to see how It is ran. We left Tuesday morning for
SLC and Flew to Denver and then on to San Antonio. I am very grateful that i have a wonderful Husband that was so willing to tend all 5 of our kiddos. He did a wonderful job. And when i came home he said to me that he was so grateful for everything that i do. That was the best thing that he has ever said to me. I was so
grateful that i was able to take this opportunity to go and support Tyler. I know that he was very grateful that i came. When it came to tell him goodbye it was like leaving behind one of my kids. I don't know if was because i was being a cry baby or not but he made it through my mom and
Makell and then when he got to me he said that i got him. We looked at each other and we were both crying. That was the worst part of the whole trip. But now he is able to call anytime after 4. I talked to him and he was at the Pentagon and then the next day off to Virginia. Then after a few days they were sending him back to
Lackland. There he will do his training. This picture is out the window of the airplane Just as the sun was setting. I thought that it was beautiful.
This is the Denver Airport. It was huge.
This is my Grandma
Biorn and me waiting for the plane to land.
My mom and
Makell (Tyler Women).
On Wednesday we had the whole day to waste so we went to Five Guys Burgers and Fries. It was really good. If you want a big grease burger and fries this was the place. They also so i have heard have one in Idaho Falls. But this was the sign that they had up when you walk in. We found this very amusing.
So the second day in to the trip Ryan sent me this picture of my baby. We were in the mall and it was a good thing that Courtney was there to lend me some moral support. I just stood there and cried. I think that being married to Ryan has made me a little more tender hearted.
On Wednesday as well we went to a Wildlife Ranch were they have some exotic animals. We figured we had nothing else to do so we went there. It was like a Bear World you just drove through and they gave us a little bag of food to feed to the animals that were not behind fences. These are Rhinos.
Baby Giraffe
A VERY friendly Zebra. I think he wanted the food we had.
This was one mean Ostrich. He would come up the the car and peek at the windows.
Thursday morning we were at the
Lackland Air Force Base by 6:30 a.m. That is 5:30 our time. They had a Briefing at 7:00 for the Families. That is when they gave us all the rules. They made it very clear what we could and couldn't do with our Airmen. Like there is a difference between Base pass and Town pass. And that we were not to confuse the two. They are not to drive. No Drinking and smoking. And no Talking on the Phone while Driving. And do not park where you shouldn't. They gave us some statistics on the Airmen that have made it to this point. 75% of 18-25 year old adolescences CAN NOT join the Air Force due to Financial problems, Medical, or some other personnel reasons. 15% that do get in DON'T Make it through Basic Training. So that Leaves 10% That actually make it. So they said that we should be very proud that our Airman Made it through. Which we are so very Proud of Tyler. After that we were able to watch them do the Airman's Run. That was pretty sobering. WOW when i first saw Tyler i couldn't believe that that was my little brother. Then they had a Coin Ceremony. They are given a Coin that is about the size of a 50 cent piece. They are to have it with them at all times. It shows that they have integrity and that they are a part of the United States Air Force. This pictures is while we are waiting for them to run past.
This is after the Coin Ceremony.
Sorry got the pictures mixed up. They Had to stand in this formation until there Family came and found them. It was such a relief to be able to give him a hug. I don't think that there was a dry eye. At least for me. Tyler is in the second row right in the middle of the picture.
This picture is on Friday. They had 745 Graduating. And they have graduations every weekend. This is at the Parade Fields.
This is at the end of the Parade. They have to do the Honorary Walk in front of the Superior Officers. It was really Neat to watch.
After Graduation Mom and Tyler. Great Smirk
He was able to show us his dorms. He said that the bed under his was empty. He said that the guy that started out there some time in the middle of training disappeared so his was the party bed. That is were everyone folded there laundry.
Everything had its place.
This is at the River Walk.
This is the Alamo.
This is at Sea World. The Crazy ride that everyone talked me into riding. It was very frightening.

Sea World Entrance
Watching
Shamu Courtney and Layne Do they look tired?
This is at the park that we hung out at when we were on Base. It was so nice they had all the little play areas under the canopies. There were three little areas that were for certain age groups not that it really mattered.
On Saturday night Tyler got some tickets to a Baseball game. If he went to the game then he could stay out later. If not then he had to be back by 8:00. So the game gave him an extra 2 hours with us.
I took this picture of
Makell on our way home at the Airport. Adorable
