Emalee's first day of Preschool

Yesterday was Emalee first day of Preschool. She was so excited. They preschool that we have her in this year is a new one and is one of my neighbors. I was very impressed with how well organized everything is. She has a binder that has all the information in it for the month of what they are going to learn. There is a news letter that she does and she is having a blog that we as parents can look at and see what is going on. That will be very nice. I can't even express how excited she was when she came home. I think that this year is going to be a great year.

It's a Girl

Well here it is we are having a little girl!! That is the tie breaker for our not so little family. We went girl, boy, girl, boy and now girl. The only concern that i have is that every time we have had a girl Ryan has had some sort of surgery right after the baby was born. First it was his back then when we had Emalee it was his appendix. I am hoping that it will go smoothly for him. Just to let you all in on the story of our little bundle of joy, we didn't tell anyone until i was almost 5 months along. That was mostly due to not feeling well and some problems in the beginning. I had had some bleeding that i thought was not normal so after the second ultrasound because i insisted that there was something wrong they found that i was actually caring twins and was in the process of losing one of them. It sounds weird but i was much relieved that they found the reason for the bleeding. Not so much that i was losing one of them but grateful that i still had at least one. Morning, noon, and night sickness have plagued me for 3 1/2 months i am feeling a lot better and am grateful that Ryan was here to pickup were i couldn't. When we finally told the kids the first thing Emalee said was i have the perfect name for the baby...BAMBEE. I was a little caught of guard by the name and told her that she would probably have to come up with a different name. She agreed after a few days that it was not a cute name. We thankfully got out of that one. We asked the kids if they would like to come with us to the Ultrasound that they all thought that was exciting. Emalee thought that they were going to take the baby out because i told her that she would be able to see the baby. We had to explain that was not the case. She still remembers Nathan and so she also asked if the baby would have to stay in the hospital like he did. I said i hope not. But they said that all looked good and everything is looking great.

This is the little Girl parts!!

Cute little Foot!!

A 3-D Kinda cool. It looks so tiny and scrony the arm is up by the face and you can see the ribs. Not that uncommon for my kids though.

Flag Football

Dallin is totally in love with playing Football. This is his 3rd year of playing Flag Football. He is quick kid when he wants to be. Dallin is in the white shirt with Green flags and Black shorts.
Here is the fabulous hand off. In this game Dallin made two touch downs. It is getting better to watch him play because he understands the game now and knows what needs to be done. I am sure that there will be many more entries, this is only his first game. The nice thing about it is that it only goes for about a month. But during that month Dallin is like a kid in a candy store.

Canning

I had a lady in my ward send out an email that she has Chokecherries if anyone was interested in picking them. I totally jumped all over that. So i decided that canning in two is always more fun then doing it alone. I asked Kathy if she was interested in some? And she jumped all over it to. We went and picked them on two different times and were able to get two 5 gallon buckets. The second one was not as full as the first but still we felt like that would be good. We got a lot more than what we thought we would get. But if any thing we were in good company. It made for a long day, but well worth the chokecherry syrup and jelly that we were able to get.

On another day Kathy asked if i would come up to her house and pick her apples while she was gone to Burley. So i took one morning and went up and picked the apples, then went to the garden and picked the beans, zucchini, some onions, and the cucumbers. So here is the finished product of all my labors of the day. In this picture is the apple sauce and some Sweet pickles. I didn't get a picture of the beans but that is a whole nother project that i did on a different day. Along with that Ryan went back up to the garden and was able to get more cucumbers and Kathy let us pick her cucumbers and i was able to get some Dill Pickles as well. So i think that the only thing i have left to can for this year is Salsa, Peaches, and some freezer corn(which is really yummy). Wish me luck!

First Day of School

Today is the first day of school. Which is really August 20. I think the kids were really excited, i think that when summer finally hits they are ready for summer but when the end of summer comes they are so bored and tired of doing things like weeding around the dog house they are totally ready to go back to school. Dallin is going into the 3rd grade. I can't believe how quickly time flies. Dallin i think has a way with getting all his friends in his class. Poor teacher. He is a good kid though, i am not worried. He is getting so big and is getting very hansom.
Kenadee is in the 5th grade. WOW 2 more years and she will be in JR high. I am so not ready for that. GEESH. She is becoming quite the little lady.

So on the first day the kids wanted to ride there bikes to the end of the road to catch the bus. I asked them do you want me to follow you down there so i can take a picture of you getting on the bus? As they are running out the door, they said NO gee mom what would people think? I at that moment realized that my kids are growing up and are learning to do things with out me. Even if i don't want them to. So i took this picture of them riding off to catch the bus. I came back and told Ryan and he just laughed at me, and told me that i would just have to get use to that. I don't think that is going to be very easy. Geesh were is the sensitivity these days.

Hard workers.... NOT

Ryan decided that the kids needed some thing to do, since they were so bored. So there job was to go out and pull all the weeds around the dog house. Well that job ended up taking them most of the morning and into the afternoon. As you can see if they would just pull the weeds they would get done a lot quicker. Talk about diddle doddle. And then you get these two who are just trying to entertain themselves so they don't have to go and help.
Jaren and Emalee found these hats in the garage, they are Kenadee and Dallins and they have been there for a few years. But you would think that they had just gotten a toy by how excited they were to find these new treasures. Funny how kids can find something old and think that they are totally something new. Kids are great.
